Summary

A volume of notes about Oxford collected and written by Brian Twyne (d. 1644), comprising two of his own notebooks, A. (pp. '135'- '634') 'Collectiones Briani Twyni... Liber Notarum F': B. (pp.'269'- '370') 'Liber secundus Schediasticorum', inserted between pp. 588 and 589 of the first part of the volume. The chief contents are:

Fol. 315, p. 589. 'Elenchus scriptorum Mertonensium ex Registro': at fol. 328, p. 617, are three Latin epigrams on Abel, or Thomas, Munday who hung himself in Oxford (about 1610?)

B: Fol. 267, p. 269. Excerpts from writers on English history, often scored through as used elsewhere. At fol. 307, p. 351 is a speech by king James i in St. Mary's Church, Oxford, Aug. 29, 1605 (beg.
