White leather on boards, clasps lost, English 15th century work, with an extra cover of white leather, and a leather book-marker (Summary Catalogue). 'Original white leather binding on boards with chemise' (Pächt and Alexander)

Nailmarks at each corner and in the centre of the front cover; bosses formerly on each corner and in the centre of both covers ; cf. MS. Bodl. 395 (MLGB3)

Given by the dean and canons of St George's Chapel, Windsor, 1612

Buildwas, Shropshire, Savigniac and (1147) Cistercian abbey of St Mary the Virgin and St Chad: 'Liber monachorum sancte Marie de Bildewas' (fol. 1v, s. xiii)

Windsor, collegiate chapel: 'Expositio petri cantoris 2o fo uel falsum' above traces of Windsor pressmark (?) at top of back board. Pressmark 'C J' on flyleaf (fol. i verso) ( MLGB3)
