Wind parts completing MS. M. Deneke Mendelssohn b. 8, and parts of additional numbers for all instruments; of these all but item 3 are on separate sheets. Nos. 3-8 are parts for additional numbers, in the hand of Louis Weissenborn.
(fols. 1-9) Parts for clarinet and basset horn, which were used instead of oboi da caccia and oboi d'amore. Copied by E. Rietz from MS. St. Matthew Passion, MS. M. Deneke Mendelssohn c. 68, and from the missing Anhang. Paper and stitching as b. 8. Another hand copied extra parts, fols. 2 and 6. Fol. 7 is in the hand of F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
(fols. 10-76) Parts for flutes and oboes of both orchestras in the same hand as fols. 2 and 6. Paper and stitching as b. 8; 12 staves to a page.
(fols. 77-112,) First 'cello and bass, orchestra I, including the whole work. The Aria 'Blute nur, du liebes Herz' was inserted on a separate leaf. Paginated 1-67. 4 quires stitched together.
(fols. 115-126) String and wind parts of 'Blute nur'.
(fols. 126 b-c) Violin 2 and Flute 1 of Choral, 'Wer hat dich so geschlagen'. A part for violin 1 is MS. M. Deneke Mendelssohn b. 8, fol. 183.
(fols. 127-137) String parts of Aria 'Gebt mir meinen Jesum wieder'.
(fols. 138-140) Flute part, and parts transposed from oboi da caccia for 2 clarinets, of Aria 'Aus Liebe ... will mein Heiland sterben'.
(fols. 141-152) String parts, and parts transposed from oboi da caccia for 2 clarinets, of Aria 'Mache dich, mein Herze, rein'.
(fols. 153-156) Organ part copied by E. Henschke [for the performance at Leipzig, 4 Apr 1841]. Schlusschor in F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's hand. 'Einlage' missing. 1 quire. 14 staves to a page.
