Summary
Sends a proclamation giving a clear account of affairs in Scotland, where they are "threatened every day with assasinations and murthers from a cruell and unreasonable crew of phanatiks;" the letter will be presented by the writer's niece, who is married to a son of Sir Rob. Spottiswood, chirurgion to the garrison of Tangier.
Seal of arms; a cross between three holly leaves, with a chief; surmounted by a mitre, and double crosier.
