Summary

The Group, of which Nicholson was a member, was an informal study group which met under the auspices of the PEP. It was concerned with generating ideas for reforming Government in Britain along the lines proposed by Nicholson in his book The System: The Misgovernment of Modern Britain, London 1967. The PEP published a broadsheet 'Renewal of British Government', July 1969, which was drafted by the System Group. of 'The Bending of Britain'.

Includes the typescript draft 'The Bending of Britain' by Nicholson.
