Fankuchen was an American crystallographer who came from New York to do postdoctoral research in England successively at Manchester, Cambridge and Birkbeck College London from 1934 to 1939 when he returned to the USA. He subsequently made his career at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, New York.
Correspondence re research and personal news. Includes 'Some x-ray diffraction measurements on biotin' by Fankuchen.
