At fol. 2 is the following passage: "more particularly of late, when soe many of them (I speake of the clergie) went together in a sad procession to Westminster-Hall, there to make a new subscription, in great and prompt obedience indeed to an act of state, butt in open defiance to the knowen and undoubted tradition and ffayth of the true Christian world."
