Summary
La Cour was one of Darlington's earliest colleagues. He joined the staff of the John Innes as a lab boy in 1922 and moved with it in its various migrations. He was Darlington's technical assistant, collaborating with him on several papers and on the textbook The Handling of Chromosomes. He died in 1984. The correspondence is of late date and mainly on publications, La Cour's election to the Royal Society, Honorary Professorship at University of East Anglia, etc.; includes a curriculum vitae and list of publications.
