Summary
Textus Roffensis, a transcript of so much of the original (12th century) volume at Rochester as is printed in Hearne's edition (1720). The volume consists of:
Anglo-Saxon laws and constitutions, in Latin and Old English
A cartulary of the church of Rochester
This transcript was made in 1632 by the first sir Edward Dering, when the original was in the hands of one Leonard a doctor, and is the book from which Hearne's edition was printed. The omissions are of documents already (in 1632) printed or about to be printed.
