Custodial history
The binding suggests that this belonged in the 15th cent. to the Franciscans of Doncaster, as MSS. Savile 14, 18-19. In the 16th cent. it belonged to George Eden (inner back cover) who owned MS. Bodl. 475, which probably came from the same source. In the 17th cent. it passed to Richard Eden, and from him to 'Knyveton' (fols. 37v, 171, 171v). It eventually became no. 5 in Dr John Dee's library and contains autograph notes by him.
