'Medieval binding. Stubs of two leather straps remain. Usual chain marks. Two nails on back board to which the straps were probably attached since there are no signs of clasps.' (MLGB)

'd. P.' may have been inside the old fly-leaves.
Windsor, collegiate chapel: on a label under horn on the back board (MLGB), is 'Omelie sancti Gregorij Pape ex dono Illustrissimi regis Edwardi quarti ijº folio. In illo tempore'.
