Per me Morganum Awbrey Oxoniae studiosum’ and ‘Noverint universi per praesentes nos Iohannem Jevons clericum parochiae de West Hendred et Thomam clericum teneri firmiter obligari Waltero herberte’, late 16th or early 17th cent. hands. Walter Herberte was rector of East Hendred 1571 – 1605).
