15th century, late, or early 16th century, Italian (MS. from the nunnery of the Poor Clares of Assisi): wood boards; dark brown leather, blind-tooled with lines, stamps and strapwork; original spine lost; remains of a single central clasp with part of a brown-leather strap (not original?) and a brass catch-plate with a boss-like protrusion on the back cover; edges discoloured, probably plain. Rebacked, later 19th century, Bodleian, whilst classified amongst MSS. Liturg. (c. 1877–1887?). 104 74 c. 55–56 (book closed).

Hymnal (fol. 157)

'Officium diurnum secundum ordinem sancte Romane ecclesie', Proprium de Tempore (fol. 180)

Proprium ('festiuitates') Sanctorum (fol. 252)

Commune Sanctorum (fol. 294v) with Prayers, etc., imperfect at end

The Calendar and Tables are perhaps of the date 1228 (see fol. 7), but altered and added to, to suit the rest of the volume, which belongs to the next century. On Aug. 2 is 'Dedicatio ecclesie sancte Marie de Angelis', an addition.
