Folder B.42.2: 'Notes on the two-particle density matrix in [pi]-electron theory', 1971. MS. draft.
Folder B.42.3: 'Energy values of the occupied molecular orbitals in H2O2', 1970-1971. Ms. notes, correspondence.
Folder B.42.4: 'Vacancy centres in the diamond lattice: a critique of current theoretical treatments', 1972-1973. MS. and typescript drafts.
Folder B.42.5: 'Calculations of hyperpolarizabilities using Hartree-Fock techniques', 1970-1971. MS. notes (not all in CAC's hand). Correspondence with R.P. Hurst.
Folder B.42.6: 'Calculation of zero-field splitting molecular integrals', 1971-1977. Notes and drafts for paper submitted to Theoretica Chemica Acta. The paper reached page-proof but was withdrawn by Coulson in February 1972 for further investigation; it was not re-submitted. After Coulson's death, Dr. Roger Mallion took advice of colleagues about publication of the paper and this correspondence is enclosed in the folder.

Folder B.42.8: 'Bond additivity and the Compton profile for molecules', 1973. MS. draft.
Folder B.42.9: 'A theory of the broadening of the infrared absorbtion spectra of hydrogen-bonded species', 1973. Notes, correspondence, page-proof.
Folder B.42.10: 'An investigation of the short-range interactions between atoms and molecules using the Hellmann-Feynman theorem: I. Three-body forces in hydrogen and helium', 1973-1974. MS. notes and draft by Coulson, MS. draft by collaborator, D. Makin.
Folder B.42.11: 'On the question of paramagnetic "Ring currents" in pyracylene and related molecules', 1971-1976. Posthumous publication with R.B. Mallion. Photocopies of Coulson's correspondence exchanged with R.B. Mallion and of Mallion's correspondence exchanged with colleagues after Coulson's death.
Folder B.42.12: 'Ring magnetic susceptibilities in conjugated hydrocarbons', 1971-1976. Posthumous publication with J.A.N.F. Gomes and R.B. Mallion. Photocopies of Coulson's correspondence exchanged with R.B. Mallion and of Mallion's correspondence exchanged with colleagues after Coulson's death.
