Summary
The greater part of the MS. is in the handwriting of an amanuensis, with additions and corrections by Lewis. At the end are:
A collection of (fifteen) papers and records referred to in the Life;
Glossary of obsolete English words;
Index to the Lives of Wiclif and Pecock.
About twelve leaves have been cut out at the end of chapter ii.

Custodial history
This volume, together with two others containing the Lives of Wiclif and Fisher, was purchased by Sir Peter Thompson at the sale of Lewis's MSS. for £6 16s. 6d.; and appears (from the prefatory notice in the Clarendon edition) to have been obtained by the Delegates of the University Press from Mr. W. Clarke, a London bookseller, at the same time as the Life of Wiclif, which had been bought by him at the sale of Sir P. Thompson's library.
Acquisition
In 1827 it was transferred to the Bodl. Libr. at the price of £8 8s.
