United Provinces of the Netherlands... In the yeare of our Lord: 1653.'
The preface is signed 'T. G.', and the period covered 1645-51: the text begins 'Though the superlative treachery.' The handwriting changes in several places and it is difficult to say whether the treatise is complete: while pages 109-12 seem to follow p. 27.
