Summary
In use throughout the 17th cent., containing:
(a) Verse Anthems in front (pp. 146-134 rev., 4 leaves lacking at beginning) and Full Anthems at back (pp. 1-30), copied early 17th cent. The only composers named are Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. Bird. Leaves have been torn out at the end of both sections.
(b) Anthems (pp. 35-55) and Services (pp. 133b-61 rev.) temp. Charles II. Inside the covers are indexes, temp. Charles II, of services by Batten, Byrd, Child, Richard Farrant, Orlando Gibbons, Rogers and Tallis, 'in use at this time', and of 20 anthems by composers including William King (organist from 1664) and Dr. Rogers (D. Mus. 1669).
(c) (fol. 61 rev.) 'For the word of the Lord is true', for two trebles, added 9 Jun 1710.
