Described as follows upon the cover: "May, 1689. An account prepared bv Mr. W. Hewer for the Lords of the Admiralty of the receipts and payements of money relateing to the exchequer and treasurer of the navy, between Lady day 1688 and dº 89, but not presented, sir A. D[eane] and W. H [ewer] and Mr. P[epys] being taken up by a warrant from the lord Shrofsberry (sic) for heigh treason."
