Vol. 8 Collections for the Life of Prince Rupert, partly prepared for publication:

Fols. 60-70 at least may be in the hand of Colonel Thomas Benett, the Prince's Secretary and are printed in Warburton's Memoirs of Prince Rupert

Some original papers begin at fol. 71, including drafts of orders and nautical memoranda in the Prince's hand, 1650-51, an account of the siege of Eccleshall Castle in 1644, by a soldier, nautical papers by capt. Fearnes, etc.

Some papers are very fragmentary and almost illegible
