Contains one larger yet incomplete work, one page of excerpts, and one separate leaf of notes. The main text is a Chaghatay copy of the fictional story of two lovers, همراه Hamrāh (sometimes known as همراهجان Hamrāh-jān) and حورلقا Ḥūr-liqā, a popular subject for literature and theatre in late 19th and early 20th c. Eastern Turkistan. Missing part of the story at the end. There is also a one-page excerpt in poor Arabic based on شیخ بهاٸي Shaykh Bahā'ī 's کتاب المخلاة Kitāb al-Mikhlāhon traditional medicine and alimentation. Contains many misspellings and misquotations; likely written from memory. . Also contains one loose leaf in Chaghatay on the same type of paper listing a number of spices, seeds, and vegetables for cooking and traditional medicine. — 19th or early 20th centuries; Kashgaria MS. One copy of a hagiography of the Khojas of Kashgaria by محمد صادق کاشغری Muḥammad Ṣādiq Kāšġarī , most commonly known as تذکرهٔ عزیزان Taz̲kira-yi ʻazīzān, followed by a single half page ( folio 124a) of miscellaneous notes in a later hand. Additionally, the recto of a loose leaf designated folio 10Aby a modern foliator contains unidentified fragments in Chaghatay and Persian. Front and back paste-downs consist of 4 leaves of unidentified Chaghatay prose taken from an unknown source. MS. Ind. Inst. Turk. 3

Six works of poetry in Chaghatay by Alisher Navoiĭ, 1441-1501 , including one copy of Lisānu l-ṭayrand the five works of his Chaghatay Ḫamsa. All contain many minor deviations from the canonical versions of these texts. — likely late 17th or 18th c.; Unknown, but probably Kashgaria or Kashmir. The thick, pale frames and headpieces which stick out above these to the top of the page resemble to some extent those found in another copy of the same work in the Gunnar Jarring collection ( Jarring 450), though that manuscript is in most other respects quite different to this one MS.
