Summary
'Herωologia Anglica or a genealogical history of the succession and creation of all our princes, dukes, marquesses, earls and [p. 856] viscounts, since the Norman Conquest, to this day, by John Vincent' (p. iii), being an account of:
P. 1. Kings and princes to 1662
P. 119. Dukes, marquesses, and earls alphabetically arranged
P. 856. An account of viscounts according to order of creation
A list of the pedigrees in the order of their occurrence is printed in Huddesford. Wood's note on p. 905 states that this complete peerage was begun by Augustine Vincent, who 'dying before it was half finished, John his son carried it on', but the whole volume appears to be in the hand of John Vincent. At p. 913 is a bibliography of Tower and Exchequer records, chronicles, chartularies, and printed books, to 1665, used in the compilation of this work.
