Some of the manuscripts were bequeathed by Stein to the Indian Institute, Oxford, and are now in the Bodleian; others were given to the University Library, Tübingen, and the National Library, Vienna, and a few given to friends, 1894-1895 (see note by Stein, MS. Stein 267 fol. 1).
