Decoration

At the beginning of the preface (fol. 38v) and the canon (fol. 39) initials in black and red outline, coloured with red and yellow.

Musical notation

Italian notation on 3 or 4 lines; 2 or 3 dry point, one red (F) and sometimes one yellow (C); up to fol.47v the notation resembles the North Italian system, from fol.60 onwards the Beneventan.

Provenance

The litanies are clearly from Ravenna, while the doubling of St. Peter (fol. 9r) perhaps suggests the church of San Pietro in Vincoli.

Baptismal office (fol. 3: imperf.)

Office 'ad reconciliandum penitentiam' (fol. 11)

'Ordo ... ad uisitandum infirmum' (fol. 13v)

Office for the Dead (fol. 21)

2. A Missal, with musical notes:

The Ordinary (fol. 35v: the Canon is at fol. 39)

Votive masses, etc. (fol. 48)

Propria de Tempore and Sanctorum in one series (fol. 59)

Commune Sanctorum, etc. (fol. 75)

3. Breviary offices: lections, hymns, etc., in the Breviary offices of the Commune Sanctorum, etc. (fol. 94v: the musical part all together at fol. 110)

The prominence of St. Apollinaris and the mention of St. Barbatianus (fol. 17v) connect the book with Ravenna. A description stated to be by the abbot Canonici is on fols. 1-2. A leaf is lost after fol. 10.
