File 2, fols. 1-17: Correspondence about the further development of indirect rule in Nigeria after Lugard's departure, 1932-1944.

File 3, fols. 1-31: Letters from the Emirs of Katsina, Gwandu, Kano and the Sultan of Sokoto, 1932-1936.

File 4, fols. 1-30: Correspondence with Sir Bernard Bourdillon, 1937-1944, about developments in administration in Nigeria, Margery Perham's views and his own career, with a copy of the script of his broadcast interview in Red on the Map, 4 Jan 1944.

File 5, fols. 1-44: Correspondence with Sir Hanns Vischer, Abubakar Imam and Rupert East about the foundation of the newspaper Gaskaya To Fi Kwabo, the visit of the West African Press Delegation to London and Lugard's help over its visit to Barclay's Bank headquarters, 1943-1944. Also notes of Lugard's conversation with Imam and a memorandum presented by him on "The problems of Northern Nigeria as the Natives see it" based on that conversation.
