Includes three contemporary Spender copies of outgoing letters but mainly photocopy Spender letters, including a photocopy of the shared journal of Isherwood and Spender from their stay in Sintra, Portugal, Dec 1935-Mar 1936. Includes photocopies of Spender manuscript poems opening "Never being but always at the edge of being", "Diving through air, gliding like bird", "This is not storm", "Be w[?]ed now by the truthful sign", The Human Condition.
