Summary

A Granada Television 'World in Action' programme. A look at the work of Oxfam on the 21st anniversary of the formation of The Oxford Committee for Famine Relief. The film shows the links between people in Britain and in other countries, Oxfam House and its operations, and ways of promoting Oxfam's work and fundraising. The interviewees include Canon Milford, Leslie Kirkley, and Richard Exley, and footage includes baling clothes, the Grants Committee in action, Oxfam's work following a cyclone in East Pakistan (later Bangladesh), and prefabricated building frames for earthquake relief.
