Summary
Hodgkin worked with Bernal in Cambridge, 1932-4. He subsequently became Professor at Birkbeck College London, Physics 1937-63, Crystallography 1963-8.
Hodgkin lectured and wrote about Bernal on a number of occasions, preparing the biographical memoir for the Royal Society (Bibliog. 160, 1980). See MSS. Eng. c. 5644/1, c. 5644/20, c. 5648/1-10, c. 5649/1-12, c. 5654/13-14, c. 5674/21, d. 2287.
