File 1, fols. 1-34: Copies of correspondence between Sir Harry Johnston, officials at the Foreign Office, Cecil Rhodes and Ernest Hawksley about the British South Africa Company and Africa north of the Zambezi, 1891-1894.
File 2, item 1: "Law No. 2, The Grondwet of the South African Republic, approved and amended by the Honourable the First Volksraad by articles 322 and 494 inclusive of its minutes, dated 26th May to 4th June", 1896 [typescript copy].
File 3, fols. 1-14 and items 1-3: Material sent to Lady Lugard by H. Wilson Fox on the conference held in the Southern Rhodesian Legislative Council Chamber of delegates from all parts of Rhodesia to settle outstanding matters in dispute between the Rhodesian people and the British South Africa Company, 1904. It includes a printed report of the conference, notes by Wilson Fox of Sir George Goldie's correspondence, memoranda by both Goldie and Wilson Fox, speeches by Cecil Rhodes and a printed memorandum on "General Outlines of Administration by the British South Africa Company".
