Containing drafts and some fair copies of published and unpublished verse and prose, including:
(fol. 5) a mistranslation of Baudelaire; see Sherwood, pp. 64-65
(fols. 19, 24, 31, 33-35r, 94v) sketches, mainly of heads in profile
(fols. 36-40r) an amended, incomplete copy of an unpublished play 'The Poet's Tragedy', Act I
(fols. 84v-90) a fair copy of an essay 'Art has a thousand fashions but one law'
(fol. 95v) a calculation of expenses.
Some of the poems were published in The Bridge of Fire. Several leaves, possibly containing scurrilous rhymes, have been torn out; see Sherwood, pp. 45-46. Fols. 43-83 are blank.
