(volume 1) Chapters 1-3, 1924

(volume 1) Contains loose papers that were originally inserted into volume 2. They include a typescript plot summary, a letter from Charles Morgan to Hilda Vaughan seeking advice on his ideas for the novel, and Hilda's written response

(volume 2) Titled 'Thy Kingdom Come'. Chapters 4-5 (incomplete), 1925

(volume 3) Chapters 6-8, 1926. Loose papers titled 'chapter 11' are tucked into the start of this volume

(volume 4) Chapters 9-10, 1926

(volume 5) Chapter 11, 1929 [unfinished]
