Summary

'Her begynnes the Troy buke translatit by a mounke of Bery', i.e. John Lydgate's Siege of Troy, chiefly from Guido de Columna's De bello Trojano: at end, 'Her endes the Sege of Troye written & mendit at the instance of ane honorable chaplane sir Thomas Ewyn of Edinburgh': in Scotch verse. On fols. 290 - 300 ('The kyng--sulde the say') and 307 - 336 ('Eftire Troyes--bot litill thing') are fragments of John Barbour's Troy book in Scotch, wedged into Lydgate's work, both being based on Guido de Columna.
