Summary

The Trade Union Law and Practice Policy Group first met 24 February 1965, 'to review the position of the trade unions in our society today and to consider what changes, if any in the law relating to the trade unions are required.' Members included Keith Joseph, Viscount Amory, Stephen Brown, David Clarke, Aiden Crawley, J.R. Edwards and Joseph Godber.

The Labour Mobility Policy Group first met 1 March 1967, 'to equate the number of vacant jobs and the number of people genuinely seeking and available for work' through greater mobility of labour, with the aim of increasing efficiency and reducing unemployment. It also included regional policy, geographical mobility of labour, and mobility between jobs and skills. Members included Nicholas Ridley, Edward Brown, Richard Hornby, Ray Mawby, John Page and Anne Bulloch.
