A copy, finished, according to the colophon, March 10, 1643, of the Foras Feasa, or history of Ireland to the English Conquest, in Irish by Geoffrey Keating (here 'Ketting'), who died about 1650. MS. Ir. d. l is an 18th-cent. English translation, and other copies are mentioned in the D.N.B.

Custodial history
Owned by Ellis FitzGerald, whose scribblings occur on fly-leaves at both ends, and perhaps by Edmond Walsh (fol. 157v rev.). There is a note, explanatory of the title, by Tully Conry (fol. ii). A fragment, probably 14th cent., taken from the binding is from a commentary on a philosophical work.
