Summary

Copies of two letters to the earl of Rochester are inserted at fols. 6b, 9b, and of two (in English) to Sir Benj. Bathurst, Treasurer to Prince George of Denmark, at fols. 7b, 23b. Of four replies (in English) from Lord Middleton there are copies at fols. 13b, 27b, 64, 64b.

At the end of the volume are added copies of the following documents:

(fol. 84) Grant by Charles II. to Sir Nicholas Armorer, knt., and Gabriel Silvius, esq., of certain penalties incurred by merchants in Ireland by non-fulfilment of bonds for importation of wool, reserving one-eighth part of all such penalties so recovered to the king; 9 Aug 1662.

(fol. 88) Acknowledgment by Silvius of the receipt of £100 from Gregory, James, and Nicholas Lynch, of Galway, in composition for one such bond; 14 Sep 1662.

(fol. 89) Acknowledgment by Armorer and Silvius of like receipt of £170 from Thomas and Ambrose Lynch and Patrick Browne, of Galway; 16 Dec 1662.

(fol. 90) Acknowledgment by Silvius of the like receipt of £60 from John Lynch and Andrew Blacke, of Galway; 25 Sep 1662.

(fol. 91) Acknowledgment by Silvius of the like receipt of £40 from Thomas and Ambrose Lynch, of Galway; 25 Sep 1662.

(fol. 92) Acknowledgment by Silvius same of the like receipt of £50 from Henry Stanley of London and Edward Hurd and Thomas Stubber, of Galway; 13 Mar 1663.
