Will encourage cousin John in doing well; thanks him for his allowance, and his aunt for her present to his daughter Mary; he and his father find the most profitable trade is the sending silver to the East Indies in exchange for rough diamonds.

Seal of arms: a chevron engrailed, between three leopards' faces: crest, a lion passant.
