Folder 1: 'Playhouse lectures': Correspondence and other papers, 1957-1970, relating to lectures given by Edgar Wind at The Playhouse; topics including the arrangements and facilities at the theatre, requests of students and non-members of the university wishing to attend, newspaper articles, the impact of Edgar Wind's modern art lectures; correspondents including the Keeper of the Ashmolean Museum, the Secretary of the Taylor Institution, the Oxford Playhouse, the University Registry, the Secretary of the Faculties, Margaret Wind, Josephine Crane. Also includes papers relating to the history of the Oxford Playhouse, later notes by Margaret Wind, and her correspondence with, and relating to, the Playhouse and the Playhouse Appeal, 1991-1996.
