(fol. 1) "This followinge was sent by Jervis Novell gentleman with Symondson from Jervis Markham, which Hollis refused to hear."
(fol. 1b) "Tho copie of the lybell sett upp agaynst Hollis," by Markham.
(fol. 2) "A lybell caste out agaynste John (sic) Markeham at Newarke:" (eight scurrilous lines of verse).
(fol. 2) "Wrytten by John Markham;" a violently abusive counter-libel addressed to Hollis.
