For SSATB chorus and orchestra. Words from the Collect for the Sunday after Ascension Day. Full score, iv + 52 pages. Copy by Elizabeth Hutchins Horsley, inscribed at the end 'Finished July 18 1834, E.H. Hy.' With a presentation inscription on p. 48 'To Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy from his friend the author'. See Horsley's letters to Mendelssohn, 17 Jul 1834, 'The copy of my Motett no. 3 which you will now receive ...' ('Mendelssohn 'Green Books' III, 215).

Probably given back to the Horsley family by Paul Benecke, along with copies of Horsley's printed music he had presented to Mendelssohn.
