Identified by E. Pellegrin as a Visconti book, but the Visconti arms and inscription are a later addition carried out by the so-called ‘Master of the Canonici Fakes’ presumably added for von Hahn prior to the sale of part of his library by the Venetian bookseller Gianbattista Albrizzi in 1747. Sold by Albrizzi with the manuscripts of Gherardo Sagredo, procurator of San Marco; no. 110 in the catalogue of the sale (Boese, op. cit., p. 305).
