Summary
Bound volume, inscribed, 'J.I.H.I. Reports' and 'C.D.D.' on spine.
The front inside papers have comments and references by Darlington to events of special interest to him. The volume also includes a history and record of work of the John Innes Horticultural Institution prepared to commemorate its first quarter century in 1935.
Until, and including, 1936, the reports were for Council only and inscribed 'Not for publication'. Darlington interpreted this as 'Publication suppressed' and there is a note to this effect. Several of the reports are also annotated by Darlington.
