Given to the Bodleian in 1940. Formerly MS. Lat. th. f. 11
Provenance
The fact that in the kalendar the feast of St. Bernard is added in a later hand and the presence in the original hand of the dedication of the basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul perhaps points to a date about 1260 (cf. S. van Dijk, The breviary of St. Francis, Franciscan Studies IX, 1949, pp. 27, 28). On fol. 2v is a note concerning the Sunday letters, with the date 1311. On fol.1 is an erased inscription.
Feasts added on 6 June and 23 August point to Cornwall.
Feast of St. Oswald described as 'festum patrie' (added to Calendar, 29 Feb., 14th century)
Walter Seton, Sotheby's 28 July 1927, lot 21
Bought by A. G. Little
