c (fols. 8-32) Five pieces for string quartet. W.15, [1941]. Ink score and parts; score dated at end 'Brixham, April 1941';
d (fols. 33-5) Canzona for violin and piano. W.25, [op. 1 no. 1, 1944 or 1945]. Ink fair copy of score, dated 1945 in pencil on fol. 33, but 1944 in the composer's own list of his works;
e (fols. 36-7v) Two sketches for violin and piano. W.114, [?1948/9]. No.1 only. Ink fair copy of score;
f (fols. 38-47v) Sonatina for violin and piano. W.46c, [c 1945-1948]. Ink fair copy of score and part (violin part left incompletely written out). The first movement is very similar to the Canzona for violin and piano, and the third movement is an arrangement of the final movement of the Suite in E minor for piano.
