Summary

(fols. 1-9) Op. 24. Preludio e Fuga [Prelude and Fugue] for string trio. Printed in 1942. [See also MS. Mus. b. 43, fols. 115-120].

(fols. 10-34v) Op. 26. 'Lo the full final sacrifice' for chorus and orchestra. Autograph with assistance from a copyist. Printed in 1947. Hired out by Boosey and Hawkes. [See also MS. Mus. c. 550].

(fols. 37-55) Op. 27. 3 anthems for choir and organ, 'My lovely one', 'God is gone up', and 'Welcome sweet and sacred feast'. The first and third were used by the printers, 1948 and 1954. The second was hired out by Boosey and Hawkes. 'God is gone up' is a full score of the arrangement with strings and organ accompaniment, 1952.

(fols. 56-58) Op. 32. 'Thou didst delight mine eyes', unaccompanied part-song, T.B.B. Printed in 1951. Engraver's copy.

(fols. 59-64) Op. 33. 'All this night', unacconpanied motet, SATB. Printed in 1951. Engraver's copy.

(fols. 66-69) Op. 34. Overstone School Song. Begins: 'Muses and Graces'. Printed in 1951.

(fols. 71-82v) Op. 35. 'Let us now praise famous men', two-part song (T.B.), piano and strings. Piano version printed in 1952. Early copy and engraver's copy of piano score, and full score.

(fols. 84-89v) Op. 37. 'White flowering days', for unaccompanied SATB. Written for 'A Garland for the Queen'. Printed in 1954.

(fols. 91-123) Op. 38. Grand Fantasia and Toccata for piano and orchestra. Full score, engraver's copy. Printed in 1954.

(fols. 124-145) Op. posth. 'To a Poet', 6 songs for low voice and piano. Printed in 1965. Only nos. 3, 4 (1956) and 6 (1943) are autograph. Fols. 130-145 are engraver's copy, part of which is photocopy of manuscript of Christopher Finzi.

(fols. 147-155v) Op. posth. [also Op. 19(b)]. 'I said to Love', for low voice and piano. Printed in 1953. Nos. 1, 3 (1923) and 6 (1956) only. [See also MS. Mus. b. 43, fols. 73-90].
