Italian plain parchment cased-binding with slightly yapped fore-edges; the spine lettered in gilt in 'black-letter' type 'Commentaria | in | Rhetorica | Ciceronis', and, at the bottom 'Mss. XIV S.'

Sotheby's 27 March 1950 (above), lot 31. Bought.

Provenance

Bought by Baron C. A. de Cosson in Italy (1876) with four other manuscripts (lots 29–30, 32–33 in Sotheby's Sale, March 27, 1950), of which one (lot 33) certainly belonged to the Dominican convent of SS. Giovanni e Paolo, Venice .
