ii + 384 pages, numbered by E. Lowe. 24 gatherings of 8 + end papers; one leaf (pp. 162-163) is now missing. Watermark slightly resembles Heawood 678. Uniformly pricked and ruled before binding, 6 staves to a page; inner and outer marginal ruling. Original vellum binding with white leather strings.

This item is part of the Music School collection of printed and manuscript music, which was originally bequeathed to the University of Oxford by William Heather (c 1563-1627), and gradually added to until the end of the 18th century. The present manuscript was bought by Edward Lowe 'Of Mr. Davis, price 3s. May 28: 1636'.
Acquisition
The collection was transferred to the Bodleian in 1885.
