Summary
Photographic print titled Henry Havelock's Monument by John Edward Saché. Havelock was a general during the Indian Mutiny, capturing Lucknow on 25 September 1857. When a second rebel force arrived and besieged the town again, Havelock and his troops were caught inside the blockade. He died of dysentery on 24 November 1857, a few days after the siege ended.
