Summary
Poetical and prose works of king James i of England, written with his own hand:
(fol. 7). A supplement to the preface to the Bασɩλɩκὸν Δῶρον, explaining the author's attitude toward Puritans: beg. 'Although I will not distruste in any courteouse & Christian reader.'
(fol. 9). The whole of the Premonition to all monarches, kings, free princes, and states of Christendom, with additions (one an extensive one, see fol. 22v) in another hand, not that of James Montagu, bp. of Winchester (d. 1618): all printed in the prose Workes, as above.
The greater part of this volume was edited by R. S. Rait, M.A., in 1901. Article 1 had never before been published: and the rest differ much in orthography and to some extent in expression from the early editions.
