Summary
Nicholson undertook this trip in his capacity of Convener of Section CT (Conservation of Terrestrial Communities) of the IBP. The trip covered Tanzania and Kenya, principally Dar es Salaam, Nairobi and the Serengeti National Park (including the Serengeti Research Institute). Nicholson met some leading conservationists, including R. Leakey, and gave a lecture on IBP at University College Dar es Salaam.
Letter regarding arrangements; manuscript notes on the findings of the trip, torn out of a small notepad; further pages of rough notes; manuscript bird lists headed 'E Africa' and 'Serengeti'.
