Hours of the Virgin
Shelfmark
MS. Canon. Liturg. 43
Summary
Hours of the Virgin, apparently according to the use of Bourges, preceded by a French Calendar, etc., and followed by:
The Hours 'de la Croys' (fol. 99)
The Hours 'du Saint Esprit' (fol. 109)
The Penitential Psalms with Litany (fol. 116)
The Office for the Dead (fol. 139)
At fol. 190 are miniatures and leaves which appear to fill up gaps where leaves are wanting in the body of the book, as after fols. 16, 23, 51, 63, 69, 74, 77, etc.: so that the volume is perhaps perfect, but bound out of order. The many miniatures and borders are finely painted and noteworthy, as fols. 15, 99, 139. Fol. 113 is imperfect.
