MS. Douce 149
Summary
'Ci commence ... li abregemenz noble home Vegece franc & resue des establissemenz apartenanz a cheualerie ...': a translation of the De re militari. After fol. 1 a leaf is lost containing the first part of the first chapter: fol. 2 beg. 'terres du monde par mile autre chose.' This may be the translation by Jean de Meun. [J. de M.'s translation was made in 1284, and I suggest that this MS. is late 13th cent. E.W.B.N.].
'Iste liber est Guillermj .. . di' (15th cent.) [I suggest 'Guilhermj Brydi.' E.W.B. N.]: 'Detrey. 1664.'.

written in the 14th cent.
